Exclusive Furniture was founded in 1983 to produce domestic furniture to the retail sector. The company started trading in Sturminster Newton and in 1985 it expanded into kitchens and bathrooms to take advantage of the growth opportunities in these complimentary niche sectors of the market. The company became incorporated in 1986.

In 1988 the company identified an opportunity to produce furniture for local schools. Due to its overwhelming success the company diversified into this new market and soon produced furniture for other schools in the surrounding areas. This success continued as Exclusive became a well-established supplier of educational furniture throughout the nineties and in 2000 the company moved premises enabling factory expansion.

From this solid foundation the company successfully diversified into other markets such as:

In September 2005 the company was purchased by the current directors with the intention to retain all of the good qualities within the company whilst developing some new practices and procedures to satisfy the growing demands of today's workplace.
